1.Locate and remove any obstruction from the printer
a.Remove all paper from the input tray / turn off the printer.
b.Unplug the powerbrick/usb cable from the printer.
c. Lift the printer up and turn it upside down, make sure you hold
the flatbed of the printer so that it won't fall down.
d. Tilt the printer from side to side when upside down to see any
obstructions.
2. Reset Printer
3. Clean the encoder strip
4.Verify that the ink cartridges are in place/reseat ink cartridges
5.Verify if the ink cartridges are dell branded if true=check if the tape
has been removed, asks for product/part no. to verify if it's dell branded
ink cartridges, else false=replace ink cartridges.
6. Verify if the encoder strip is in the right position/place.
7.Restore fatory default settings
* Press the options button repeatedly, the menu heading below display.
* Press (+) to scroll through available menu (Reset Defaults)
* Restore the factory default settings.
8. Replace Dell Branded Printer
